It's also happening with
static1.moviewebimages.com makeuseofimages.com static1.cbrimages.com
and so on.
It keeps happening for other sites, like cruxnow.com, and even after I removed .JPEG and .JPG in "XDM will automatically take over downloads from browser for below file types" in the browser monitoring setting.
can't find video streams on streamtape.com, the normal xdm 7.xx works well
Having the same issue running Garuda Linux (which installs xdman8 on the AUR by default, which is great) especially makeuseof.com. Its the only annoying thing about it. That and I second it doesn't identify videos on some sites as where an firefox extension like "VideoDownload Helper" does. This has always been my go to DL helper on linux and would love to see it fixed. Any body figure out a workaround?
It also happens in Top Speed, with pictures in static1.topspeedimages.com automatically downloaded. I noticed that the URL pattern is static1.*images.com. I also tried using wild cards in the browser monitoring setting mentioned above, but they don't work.
About not being able to detect videos in sites where it should, I shut down the app and the browser and run both again. After that, it's able to detect the videos.
It seems to be happening in all sites with the following wordpress template: https://www.androidpolice.com/change-default-google-account-on-android/ https://www.cbr.com/strongest-hunterxhunter-characters/
When I visit
https://collider.com/curb-your-enthusiasm-season-12-cast-release-filming/
XDM 8.0.26 beta downloads the JPEGs. The pictures also don't show in the browser.
However, after I added
colliderimages.com
to "Do not automatically capture downloads..." in browser monitoring, the problem stopped.
There are other sites where this also takes place, but I can't identify them unless I guess from the JPEG file names. The notifications in my installation of the app are turned off and I only find out after I see several JPEGs in the download folder.
I'd like to know if others are experiencing the same problem with the article shared above.
