I confirm. Firefox under Linux mint with XDM plugin cant show any pop up windows during stream video watching.
Using 8.0.29 The browsing extension works with Firefox. Not always. Some videos only show audio, or the advertisements. Usually smaller video sizes only. Or video has to play for almost full duration and shows up.
The new download and Video download are useless. Only .html or data files show up if any.
Queue and Scheduler are not cooperative. If disconnected, they do not work. Some videos do not download. They cannot be saved for later, even within the about 30min - 1hr YouTube, and other sites have before expired links. Must use the scheduler very quick and cannot put too many into the list. YouTube refreshing might or web-pages refreshing might interfere.
When deleting XDM with the Terminal/Command Prompt it has been noticed that files and folders might be left over. Power down and restart usually helps. But the uninstalls might need to be done twice.
Browser Monitoring and extension are good to load videos in that tab only on each tab, not mix everything up if multiple tabs are open or have been finished.
Thanks.

The two methods on this page do not work. https://github.com/subhra74/xdm/wiki/How-to-download-streaming-video
