This extension was removed from Chrome Web Store on 2022-09-21 #1096

I am using Linux OS. I have installed the desktop application. However i noticed that the application no longer automatically detects downloads from the chrome browser. I did some research and found out that the extension was removed from the chrome web store

I am pretty sure its been removed for a long time now. In fact a very long time. I just use it on firefox.

There is another way, a hidden gem actually. First go into settings then extension the hit the developer toggle at the top right corner. Next click load unpacked button and navigate to C:\Users{yourusername}.xdm-app-data\chrome-extension. I recommend you pin it to your extensions tab.

I UPDATED THE EXTENSION TO MANIFEST V3,' but due to the cors issue, I also had to update the xdman.jr that is in the root folder of XDM, YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD my version of xdman.jar and replace the one in the root folder (DON'T FORGET TO GO TO "File" --> "Exit" first).

YOU MUST ENABLE DEVELOPER MODE IN CHROME, IN EXTENSIONS, 1

HERE IS THE EXTENSION. YOU MUST UNZIP AND DRAG AND DROP THE "xdm-extesion-manifest-v3" FOLDER 2 THEN IT MUST APPEAR LIKE THIS: 3
