Everything I do in Sublime Merge is crazy slow. #1774

Version info

Description

Everything I do in Sublime Merge is crazy slow. Clicking on buttons, literally any interaction with the UI. Seems like it works fine on a Mac with an intel processor, but not on Apple silicon. I have a 2018 Macbook Pro & it works great, & a 2022 Macbook pro where it is super slow. Is this a known issue? Or just me?

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open repository
  2. Try to do anything

Expected behavior

It works like it used to.

Hi @raphaelmatto,

Thanks for reporting this issue.

Could you try disabling hardware acceleration and restarting Sublime Merge? This can be done via the application menu under Preferences > Preferences... > Advanced > Hardware Acceleration

Kind regards, - Dylan from Sublime HQ

Hi @dpjohnst,

I don't have access to an Apple silicon mac any more, unfortunately. If I get another one in the future, I'll test that out. Thanks for replying.

Cheers, Raphael
