Currently in the "Commits" panel, the "rainbow" track uses a little square a marker to indicate if a commit is in that particular track. There is no indication in the "rainbow track" showing that a commit is the head of another branch (especially if the branch is currently hidden)
Preferred solution
Using a different shape marker (e.g. a circle or a star, etc.) if the commit is also the head of another branch would be helpful. There could be a 4 way toggle:
Current behavior (all commits just show as squares),
Use a different marker if the commit is the head of a visible branch(es)
Use a different marker if the commit is the head of any local branch(es)
Use a different marker if the commit is the head of any branch (including known remote branches)
