Command Palette gets reset on tab switch #1836

Description

When switching tabs, everything entered in the command palette gets reset, while it keeps open.

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open 2 Repos in tabs
  2. Type something in the Command Palette
  3. Switch to the other tab and back

Expected behavior

Keep the Command Palette state while switching tabs.
