Highlight of Change Area Seems Wrong #1850

Highlighting of change area does not look accurate. See attached pics

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Have clean commit, no staged changes in file
  2. Change python script source from spaces to tabs
  3. Save file
  4. Examine diff in Sublime

The pics below are from Sublime and Apple FileMerge

Expected behavior

I expected to see only the beginning of lines showing the change highlight. See attached pics
