Sublime merge unresponsive even after forced restart, requires session files deletion #1875

Description

Occasionally Merge becomes unresponsive to clicks or key commands. The application is still running and will show changes to the repository. It will remain in the this state even after being stopped and restarted. Only deletion of the session files will restore access.

Steps to reproduce

The bug is intermittent and happens only rarely.

I also experience this problems multiple times a week on Windows. Some UI elements are still active and works as intended. For example, I can open the "burger menu" and select "File" => "New window" and a new window will open (the shortcut also works) but the previous windows is still "frozen". In my case it is the "Commits" and "Files" tabs that can't be interacted with.

I haven't experienced that that it stays unresponsive after restarting though.

Using build 2096, but this problem has existed for at at least ½ a year
