Problem description

The documentation for Sublime Merge sublime-themes vs sublime-color-scheme vs sublime-settings could be clarified to better explain the relationship between these when customizing.

For example, the theme controls the layout, while the color scheme controls the "text bits".

Preferred solution

Update the https://www.sublimemerge.com/docs/themes documentation to clarify where/how themes, color schemes and settings are used and how they are related.

May including a list of what the possible sublime-setting files are as well.

Some help with this would be appreciated. I just spent two hours trying to get the monokai theme to work according to these instructions and finally just gave up: https://forum.sublimetext.com/t/monokai-in-sublime-merge/42829/2

Visibility is a big thing with git diffs, and I paid $80 for this. A little guidance better guidance about how to customize the look and feel would be greatly appreciated.

Eh, that's ok. I really like sublime, but it's stuff like this that sorta gets in the way of making Text and Merge my daily drivers.
