Minimap viewport: too low contrast on dark themes #536

Closed nimmolo closed 1 year ago

There doesn't seem to be a parameter for theming the minimap viewport overlay or changing its opacity.

For me this is an issue that makes the minimap hard to use. The border is OK, but a different opacity would be nicer. As it is, on a dark theme I just can't see it, and I can't handle light themes. Can this be made a theme or preference parameter?

What theme and color scheme are you using? My minimap looks like this:

2014-10-28_22 20 26 , which I think is easy to see.

It can be difficult to see where the highlight is in themes like the dark Spacegray.

Okay, I can see that there might be a problem if the scheme's background gets to a gray tone where the overlay is barely visible.

Here's a shot from the Spacegray Eighties scheme (which is still okay though imo): 2014-10-28_23 23 22

It's not too bad. In some lighting conditions it can be harder to see.

Closing as there have been some contrast fixes related to the minimap and the contrast is otherwise as expected.
