App crashes each time a file is saved #5438

Description of the bug

Hey ST Team, I started using ST to code an HTML file. Each time I use the Save as... or Save function, the app freezes, and I lose all my progress because I have to restart the app. There's no log written.

Steps to reproduce

  1. I start ST in safe mode
  2. I set Syntax to HTML
  3. I use the HTML snippet
  4. I use the Save as... function (the file gets saved at the correct path)
  5. I make whatever change on the file
  6. I use the Save function
  7. The app freeze and the file isn't saved this time
  8. I have to restart the app

Expected behavior

I was expecting ST to save the file

Actual behavior

The app freezed

Windows 10 Family

(Linux) Desktop environment and/or window manager

I performed the same steps on safe mode ST 4126 on Windows 11, but I couldn't get the freeze. Is there any step missing, perhaps ?

Do you have an anti-virus that may be causing ST to crash?

No, I just have Windows Defender...

I'm entirely unable to reproduce. Perhaps you have some other software interfering? Could be something that changes explorer in some way.
