Description of the bug

holding a key down does not repeat the character immediately

Steps to reproduce

Open in safe mode type the character x and see it in the edit pane press the y key and hold it down

Expected behavior

a growing string of y's eg 'yyyyyyy'

Actual behavior

What happens nothing okay, lift and wait a few seconds then the string does appear

PopOs 22.04

(Linux) Desktop environment and/or window manager

pop:GNOME

I can't reproduce this under ubuntu 24.04 or 22.04. Does key repeating work in other apps? Are you using Wayland or X11?
