Let's think where we need collaborators list and what for.

That's we could try to fetch using changes table in combination with something like distinct. If we want to get collaborators or number of collaborators for each document in list then we could store them in serialised string. However we will not be able to run queries against this data and also updating of this string could be painful in case when we have big number of collaborators.
