I am recommending a change, so that 72 hours are used for production.
"Peer $peername, owned by $peerowner, will be deactivated in $hours for $hours. If you have containers in this peer, you should back up important data before the scheduled deactivation."
Both time periods (after some hours, for some hours) are set by Peer owner.
So, on this issue, we need to improve text message?
What we can suggest:
Zubaidullo; You are talking about "Schedule Downtime", and the title is referring to "The Peer is going away!", i.e. the notification that is sent when I click "DELETE" on the Peer.
for Peer delete we have another message: User {user} wants to delete peer {peer-name}, you have environment(s) .......... But, this issue is about notifying tenants for downtime period. (here, yes you're right with Peer is going away maybe b/c of word will be deactivated, this should be changed to something like: will be down for period .... )
My bad... I need to read better.
Actually "deactivated" is simply the wrong wording. Too ambiguous. This issue is proof of that.
"Permanently Deleted" and "Taken Offline for Maintenance" are better wording respectively.
Suggestion for the labels and inline text (not for formatting/layout):
When a Peer is to be deactivated, tenants receive an email as follows:
The copy is a little ambiguous. A better alternative would be:
"Dear $name,
The Subutai Peer $peername will be deactivated by its owner, $ownername. You have containers in that Peer, and we advise you to back up whatever important data you have in such containers".
Another thing, already pointed out before: 24 hours seems to short a notice in prod. For instance, I've seen this email on my way to the airport this morning. If I was travelling abroad or planning to stay offline for a couple days, that would be very frustrating. The same if I had travelled without my laptop (where I have CC, P2P and E2E installed already).
