Generic word zip file contains pdf with no actual content #58

When downloading the Generic (Word) using the hyperlink in the README file, I successfully download a zip file: Dissertate-Generic-Word.zip. However, this zip file merely contains a single file called guidelines.pdf which contains a single page with just two words in it ("Generic guidelines"). I assume this is the incorrect file or the zip has been corrupted. Uploading and re-linking to the correct zip file with actual generic word template would be great!

Bumping this back up! I too would like to use a Word template or to have a UC Berkeley Word template made available. Thanks!

I have not put in time developing a Word template for Berkeley. @suchow to what extent was Word generally supported by this collection of templates?

My intuition is that a PR contributing a Word template for any of the schools would be a welcome addition to the codebase.

Is it possible to at least get the protections removed from the Word document? If I can export the Styles, it'll be a lot easier to submit a PR, but as of right now the document seems to be protected with a password and some sections are uneditable (e.g., "The Department of Motor Vehicles") — at least on MacOS.
