Usually, you want your figures after you have referenced them in the text, right? Therefore at the beginning of a section does not seem useful to me.
This template does not include the float package, therefore I only found the only working options to be [t] (top) or [b] (bottom). latex handles the rest:
\begin{figure}[b]
If you really want manual figure placement, load the float package in the preamble:
\RequirePackage{float}
and force the location with [H], like this:
\begin{figure}[H]

Hi, first of all thank you so much for making this beautiful template! I'm using it for my undergraduate senior thesis and it has been a life saver.
As for my question -- I've been using \begin{table} and \begin{figure} to create nice tables and figures with captions. However, no matter where I put these lines of code, the table and figure always end up at the top of my next page or in a place I cannot control. Is there a way for me to specify the location of the table and figure (e.g. after a section heading)?
Thank you!
