added "mutilated" test suite #25

It's nowhere near working on OSX. Maybe you could add this as a separate linux-only repo. Although it would be better as a fork of the repo upon which it is based than as a snapshot of the sources at one moment in time. I also think it could be adapted to our requirements in a way which didn't hopelessly diverge from the original sources.

This is why I was reluctant to add it. And I thought as much.

Eventually we might want to investigate it, for now I don't feel like spending time improving it. It's fine I run the tests once in a while to flush out any 'big' problems.
