"Speak" to read Japanese (starting with Kana--Hiragana and Katakana characters) #1479

It would be nice if "speak" could read Japanese.

For starters, it could read kana--which would be a little over 100 characters and follow a predictable rule.

Example:

A I U E O
Ka Ki Ku Ke Ko
...

あ い う え お
か き く け こ
...

ア イ ウ エ オ
カ キ ク ケ コ
...

To start, all of the inflections could be more or less monotone.

^^^("simple", except for...) the one peculiar rule that は (ha) is sometimes pronounced as "wa" as in こんにちは konnichiwa (hello)...

:p

Speak is a lot of overhead and not reliable, I've "hidden" this feature until we find a suitable replacement.
