Add set up test in an activity.

Comments: (1) Your commit message is too terse. Please spell out what it is you are doing with this commit. (2) It would be great to include some simple examples of the two types of tests you are referring to. (3) It would be good to have a more detailed explanation of the difference between the two types of tests. (4) Some copy-editing needed, but it can wait until #1-3 are addressed.
