@pratikshekhar, please use GitHub issues to report problems with Sugar. Few people remain who use trac. You only need an account for trac if you are working on tickets in trac. Few people have worked on these issues in the past two years, so it is hard to justify keeping it available.
@fgrose, @walterbender, do you have the parole answer somewhere? I've searched, and could not find it. It was not in the configuration files I found. The hint may be too cryptic for people in cultures outside your own.
I recall having to approve new accounts by hand. Not sure about "parole". I also referred @pratikshekhar to GH issues.
@walterbender, thanks, please confer that capability on my account?
This seems to be a puzzle. Search in the SugarLabs wiki to find the page 'FindTheGoldInThePot'. There are more than 4 words on the second line, but pasting the full line seemed to have some effect in detecting that I already have an account. Some experimentation would probably find the necessary answer.
This page was created on 25 March 2017 by Samuel Cantero.
That was the one, thanks. When I search for "gold" on the Wiki, I don't get that page. I think the search results have changed without the page changing.
@scanterog, drawing your attention to this issue for your interest.
@walterbender, thanks, please confer that capability on my account?
Done. You are trac admin.
@walterbender, thanks, verified.
@pratikshekhar, this all seems resolved, any remaining questions?
@quozl, @walterbender, @FGrose - Thanks so much for all your help. No remaining questions.
What Registering New Account On Trac Requires
"Parole"
Why As a new user, I'm trying to register a
new trac account
at (https://bugs.sugarlabs.org/register) as instructed on theBugSquad/Bug Report
(http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/BugSquad/Bug_Report) wiki page to create a query, but there's a"Parole"
required that I'm unable to find even with a hint (attached screenshot). This is restricting me to make any contribution.Screenshots
