Is it possible to create an ubuntu / debian package or push to canonical repo ?

cypriani commented 6 years ago

There is one already: https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=backup-manager https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backup-manager

sbourdette commented 6 years ago

Great but not last version for LTS ubuntu (Xenial 16.04)

cypriani commented 6 years ago

You can create or maybe ask for a backport; not sure how it works in Ubuntu. Or actually, just add zesty or artful in your sources.list and do pining (see man apt_preferences); backup-manager has very few dependencies, so I think it would work just fine.

@Johnathan Jenkins has package it, personally i'm using this repo for debian: http://shaggytwodope.github.io/repo

Some instructions here: http://shaggytwodope.github.io/repo.html

Cheers
