Discussed using cropper to create rectangles/envelopes. And persist all of those (multipolygon)

Look at using leaflet draw - rectangles and polygons only

Having looked into this, we may want to do something a bit different. Since the image is a static image that we aren't serving as IIIF we could do something different.
