This includes:

moving more OSD functionality to osdUtils
Move d3 functionality to d3Utils (except the timer, which maybe we should move into there and cancel using the dispatcher)
Moving a bunch of the canvas manipulation code into a canvasUtils module.

I think the next step would be to use the dispatcher instead of passing callbacks to various functions.

Looks like good progress. I agree the next step would be using the dispatcher for communication. Merging.
