i'd like to add some dev-facing documentation based on recent work we've done on SearchWorks.

[ ] finding records via catkey, what is a catkey, how is it formed
[ ] using the librarian view or export formats to look at the record
[ ] the different types of records that exist in the index and where they came from, e.g. "MARC-to-MODS"
[ ] minimum Ruby version (install doesn't work with Ruby 2.7) ...more?

Didn't know that existed! It might be, so long as we link to it from the README.
