Given our approach to have puppet easily able to upgrade wowza without disrupting our wowza applications (sul-streaming, stacks), our app configuration files are now in puppet.

We need to document (DevOpsDocs, dlss-wowza README, other?) that updates to these application.xml files must happen as a puppet PR. Changes made via the wowza engine manager GUI may get overwritten by puppet.
