1 year ago Hi!I think it's absolutely possible, but i don't now for sure what's inside the plastic.After sniffing the network data, i saw it sends data more frequent than 5 minutes, but sometimes data is garbage or not changing. My suspection is: the inverter are the problem source not the datalogger. By the way i'm working on makeing the modbus access faster by querying the registers together, but need some time to make universal solution.Don't know about EmonCMS. I simply run my app from crontab and use the written JSON file to feed a homeassistant server. I'm sure the same can be done quickly. Here i found saw some info about the hardware, but not sure about that every model is the same:https://fccid.io/2ASAF-PLUGPRO03V50/Internal-Photos/Internal-Photos-5032479About privacy the data is one thing, but this device can be trojan attack or possibly it could control the inverter also (think what can be done for example by changing just the output frequency etc.) I'm able to poll the device in hotspot mode without passing wifi access to it, but the manufaturer(shenzen eybond) has built nice ecosystem for solar monitoring i see potential in their hardware/service. Unfortuntely the inverter manufacturer is not so precise in this price range.I saw here a guy extracts data from the tcp packages (by spoofed dns) proxy solution. Data are translated to mqtt.
