Is Nikto still alive? #785

For years Nikto has been an essential tool for Pentesting, but there has been no update for more than a year, or response to any issue. Maybe is time to look for a replacement?

There was an update to the 2.5.0 branch last November. It is definitely still a tool I use on every test.

Nikto is not dead, however development is definitely slowed.
