As per the 'known issues' section of the release page, specular effects have a ghosting problem
Barring a fix to the ray-tracing system, a simpler workaround would be to turn off specularity for all textures , is this possible?
IMHO, as it stands now, the benefit of removing the ghosting artifact is greater than the loss of shiny surfaces in the game , it will also look more original to Quake
