Asphodel seems like a worse Pangaea to me. Pangaea can get tons of freespawn(Maenads) if it so wishes, but does not have to deal with popkill. Your dryads don't have seduction which is huge. And you can't sustain recruiting Black Centaurs in the long run because of popkill.

Is the better freespawn worth the popkill? I'm not convinced. Synergies gained which Pangea does not have - Foul Vapours/Rigor Mortis does not hurt your troops.

Change the black dryad from N1D1 to D1 with random chance of N1/D1? As it stands the mage is only really good for swarm spam.

Asphodel also doesn't have Pangaea's best unit, the reveler (although granted, without earth mages to buff them, they'd be just solid and not absurd).
