If you use transparent readers like I do on a daily basis you would understand why I dont ask for them in SumatraPDF which I support and use dozens of times a day. and that is transparency as you suggest is only of use to me when editing not reading.
Readers use a fixed background and it is the editor function in Acrobat Reader that allows for transparency grid but it is very problematic switching it on and off for different PDFs since not desired for some and not work for others.
Thus I use transparent PDFs in PDF Exchange Editor and Readable PDFs in SumatraPDF Reader and send one to the when required. Often looking at both at the same time to see differences or changes.
It is not easy for multi-format readers to support transparency across all formats
In Tracker you simply set SumatraPDF as opaque previewer and in SumatraPDF you set Tracker as external transparent viewer. using %1 %p for page transfer
Can SumatraPDF display a Grid similar to the one in the screenshot, that can be toggleable via Settings? Please. I need this feature badly! It should just draw a Grayish large Grid consisting of of tiny Dots inside which even smaller Grids made of tiny Dots are present. Like I said, it should be in the Background, Transparent & not overwrite any images or text (should only appear in the Page.) Also, there should be settings for the Grid Sizes and Color (the Grid Color in the screenshot was 128,128,255), and there's Dotted and Line Styles. Thank You! P.S: View the full-size image screenshota.
