related to https://github.com/sumatrapdfreader/sumatrapdf/issues/2132 https://github.com/sumatrapdfreader/sumatrapdf/issues/43
there was a traditional workaround discussed several times as shown here https://github.com/sumatrapdfreader/sumatrapdf/discussions/3045#discussioncomment-3941188
had to twiddle it a bit to work with one key press so it builds a file
2024-07-25-20-36-SumatraPDFSavedSession.cmd
now with no remembered file history SumatraPDF starts blank
But if I click on the saved session cmd file SumatraPDF loads all the tabs in order from that old session
A "GotMe" is that I altered tab oder for resave and forgot I had switched this option off which is needed on for saving a session !!
switched it on and the new layout is remembered a few hours/days later in another session dated backup so I can rename those to whatever I want !
I was directed to open an issue per #3857. First, I would like to thank the maintainer(s) and contributors for a program that is very much a staple in my day-to-day workflow. Onto the request:
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I frequently find myself wishing I could save the current set of open PDFs and open another previously-opened set.
Describe the solution you'd like If possible, I would like the concept of "Groups" to be implemented. For example, if I have multiple documentation files open as PDFs, I would like the ability to save the PDF states under some
Foo Docs
