no and perhaps ! The top left message (is desirable as a timed warning) The annotations may not always be visible and thus message shows what is under the mouse.
Here the cats paw is over my mouse, but the annotation author is unseen as I removed my name but included descriptive content . So the bug is the tooltip is NOT always showing annotation contents (Hmm it used to ?)
However the tooltip is controlled by the highlight contents (highlight content is NOT the page content) So it has 2 parts the Author (unnamed) if (none) content and should show the contents if imbedded in the highlight but is not showing invisible free text content. To supress Author to "unnamed" set it to (none) in Advanced settings
It would be better to allow users to choose whether to enable the top left message prompt and the content displayed in annotations. For me, being able to turn it off can help me immerse in reading more, avoiding unnecessary information. After all, some of my annotations are simply for highlighting emphasis.
It only appears when over a coloured/annotated area. so using any area outside the colours e.g. margins for grab or scroll will not trigger the notification.
Thank you
V3.6.16779 64-bit Can I turn off the notification,"highlight annotation. CTRL+click to edit.", that always appears in the top left corner when the mouse hovers over an annotation, as well as the author's name that appears on the annotation? Thank you!
