please add Bookmark text in PDF files (and Bookmark manager)

To keep your own user defined bookmarks between pages use favourites A bookmark manager is work in progress. To test / see how it is working so far, try out the pre-release version from https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/prerelease.html

@kjk Can I suggest that SumatraPDF as a viewer (rather than editor) cannot "ADD" bookmarks to the PDF However, it can prioritize a .bkm file and have a TOC editor to manage those bookmarks, wherefore this issue is in progress and thus addressed ?

@kjk SumatraPDF does not generate PDF bookmarks even when generating its own PDFs either from folders or from bookmarks ToC editor. is that likely to change soon?

It's likely to change. Will it be soon I don't know.

Just an update that [V]BKM experimental feature has been dropped from current Pre-Release

Inserting bookmarks to a PDF is no easy task as the file needs to be edited as restructured and xrefed objects.

Annotation may help here in the future if annot links are developed however for now the fallback is the well established use of favorites.
