If you use the more versatile Fullscreen F11 mode (on occasion it has the distraction of the sidebar but now you can switch scrollbars off in pre-release) The background color(s) can be set via GradientColors, so use just one color (but you can have two or three) It was working in Last formal release 3.1.2 and current pre-release

Not many users may be aware that if you "Save as" a folder of images, which also means a comic book folder archive (e.g. comic.cbr), to a PDF. Then fairly quickly that PDF could be "presented" with the above gradient background settings in Fullscreen mode. However that ability is not currently available if the folder/archive includes .webp images.
I'm reading pdf with the presentation mode. This mode shows the document as a white page over a black background. This makes too much contrast for the seeing. I would like to access to the background color, at least in the configuration text file.
