NB: An added advantage of this change would be the elimination of the extra FStextureSwitch PartModule required to separately switch icon texture styles - with the icons integrated as floating decals within the common texture atlas, only on FStextureSwitch is needed.
This also means my request to @Snjo for a master-slave texture switcher system may no longer be needed :)
Module ID symbols migrated to main texture atlas and applied as decals, ready for R0.04a.
Currently, module ID symbols for each module require a separate icon image and the associated normal maps.
Given that the common texture maps have now been reduced in dimension to 2048x2048 px, and that many text labels will soon be turned into floating hi-res decals (#52), it may be possible to make the module ID symbol icons use a similar setup as well.
The ID symbols will be added to the transparent lower 1/3rd of the common atlas, consolidating the number of files needed - there should still be enough room for future additions such as trusses, landing legs etc.
Many models will also need to be revised to use take advantage of this icon migration to decals.
