Service Module won't disconnect from FusTek adapter modules #12

I used the SDHI service module with the FusTek "adapter parts, with a 1.25 IACBM in both ends. The idea was to dock the module to the station, using the free IACMB, decouple the service module and deorbit, however, after decoupling they continue connected. They are logically separated, and I can switch between ships, but they won't disconnect no matter how hard I try to move. After many attempts, I realized that going into warp disconnects them.

Neither the SDHI Service Module nor the majority of the FusTek station modules are command pods, and so once decoupled, the only force acting to separate them is from the decoupler itself - you won't be able to remotely control the Service Module.

Now if you had added a MechJeb control box to the SM itself, that would have been a slightly different story...

Come on... give me a little more credit than that. If I'm saying the idea is to dock the module, decouple the SM and deorbit, obviously I have remote control over it. It's not a remote control issue. This happened twice during normal gameplay, when I was docking my habitation and science modules, and I already reproduced it for testing after creating the issue here.

I'm pretty sure it's a collision issue with KSP or a bug in some of the parts, because the FusTek module seems to be stuck inside the edges of the SM ring. The module actually budges a little when I try to move a lot, but it doesn't get released.

For testing, I attached a mechjeb and RCS to the station module, launched into orbit, and decoupled, without docking to the station. The same problem happens. I can switch between the SM and the station module, I can fire both RCS in the opposite direction, but they are stuck to each other and will stay connected almost as if they were still coupled. Once I enter warp, the SM is slingshot away and the module doesn't move at all. Whatever collision issue is keeping them stuck normally, it's disabled when entering warp.

That's just because of the way I've set up the colliders for the SM, to accommodate the heat shield.

I'm probably going to drop my recommendation for using the SDHI SM as a pusher for FusTek Station modules (for various other reasons), so this issue remains closed.
