The reason for accepting an alphanumeric name is stated in UG. It is reasonable that TA would need to handle alphanumeric names instead of purely alphabetical names.

Reason for disagreement: Sorry for this, as this can come across as nitpicking. However, my disagreement is on how student numbers such as AXXXXXXR should even be considered as names. Your justification is "given the current system, AXXXXXXR will be counted as names", but my disagreement is on the current system.
