e.g. xx minutes before latest possible wakeup time
or yy minutes after REM sleep (if you want to remember your dreams)

hm... basic configuration (maximum time before deadline) is already there. and
it makes
me remember the dreams.

another idea just came to me - ring twice!
2) after the last dream - loud, to wake up actually
1) after the previous one - soft, just to remember the dream (with optional
voice-
record enabled)
but this might harm...

can't seem to find maximum time before deadline in preferences.

Also the shorter the period after REM the more likely you are to remember your
dreams, not?
And regarding recovery - does it even make a difference if you wake up shortly
after
or before a new REM phase?
