Force-close with screen on

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Turn on option for screen to stay awake while charging
2. Run program and wait a couple of hours

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Notification for force-close comes up. The program still runs behind it but 
doesnt record movement. The alarm does go off at the specified time.

Which phone model do you have?
HTC Desire (Android 2.1 and Sense UI)

Please provide any additional information below.

Mine sorta does the same thing except it only happens after I've slept past 9 
hours.
I get some sort of error message and when it's time for the alarm to go off 
it's just
like an regular alarm. I have the Droid Incredible.

Same thing happens here but with Droid Eris. I leave it plugged in, screen on, 
alarm goes off at 
specified time but it had force closed overnight and does not record or track 
movements. Had this 
program active and working well for about 2 months and force close started 3 
nights ago.
