Intermittent "alarm will go off in less than an hour" bug #69

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. This happens intermittently for me - I haven't noticed any clues as to when 
and why.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
1. I usually go to bed around the same time each night, so when I press "Start 
Tracking" the app says "Alarm will go off in 7[or 8 or 9] hours"
2. Sometimes it says "Alarm will go off in less than an hour", when it should 
be 7 or 8 or 9 hours.
3. Haven't found a way to get it to behave normally again, except put the phone 
on the bed, go to bed, wait for the alarm to go off (usually less than 15 
minutes), and then disable the alarm.
4. If I then click on "Start tracking" again, the app behaves normally.

Which phone model do you have?
HTC Desire.

Please provide any additional information below.
I always have the phone plugged in, with the screen set to never go off.
