git_school for Dec. class #3

This merge request finishes and updates the main course included in readme.md. Specifically, the changes made include:

Changed references from GitLab to GitHub
Finished content: previous writer had left a few sections unfinished with the intention to return and finish the main workflow loop.
Added in some notes about best practices when using git and GitHub.

Helps close issue #2, though more content to come with advanced topics and GUI git tools.
