Issues with Config v70r35 properly reading sd:\usb-loader\config.txt #58

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Upgrade to Config v70r35
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
All games should default to video=System Default within each game. Instead all
games are defaulting to video=Game Default
within sd:\usb-loader\config.txt is video = system

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Config v70r35 on Wii 4.1 using D2xv8-final cios 249(56)

Please provide any additional information below.
This is my sd:\usb-loader\config.txt
theme = wiihacks.com
device = usb
gui = start
gui_transition = fade
gui_style = flow
gui_rows = 2
covers_path = sd:/images/
ios = 249
video = system

Any ideas what is going on ? I don't want to downgrade guys

Add on note: As a temp workaround I downgraded to Config v70r15 by ONLY
replacing sd:\apps\USBLoader , absolutely nothing else. It now is reading
sd:\usb-loader\config.txt perfectly and all games are now defaulting properly
to Video: <System Default> . Weird, why is Config v70r35 not reading the
video=system line, any ideas?

FYI, the version of Config v70r35 that I originally got that had problems, came
from the Standard Wii hack bundled software on www.wiihacks.com , within there
"Softmod ANY Wii" guide to the general public. It's within App Pack v4 I
believe.

Could a different settings.txt in sd:/apps/usbloader be the problem?

I once had a similar problem with the theme and changing the config.txt didn't
do anything good. Changing the settings.txt worked, because those settings
override others.

I was doing to testing for another issue (I'm about to enter into the system)
and decided to look at this one a little too.

The issue is NOT present in r31 but it is present in r32. (Hope that helps.)

The r35 from the wiihacks guide could not be the final r35, because I released
the final r35 after reading this issue.
It schould be fixes in r35.

Sorry, I missed that...really thought I was more complete but I guess I
originally test r35 before I started looking at this issue. I have gone back
and retested r35 and r36 (downloaded from this site) and this issue is NOT
present in either of the two newest versions. (Looks good...related to this
issue anyway.;)
