I'm curious if there's a philosophical or technical reason for not using the content hash as part of the type filenames but instead adding it as a query parameter. The former scheme is very useful for cache busting reasons.
I've already made a proof of concept here (just ignore the tab to spaces changes) that my team is in the process of vetting but obviously if I can work with you to integrate it into the main repo (maybe as an option), that might be a nicer approach for everyone.
