11 months ago The mechanical design is poor and causes mechanical issues. The right wheel touches the metal frame, which creates more friction than the left wheel. This makes the car unable to go straight. Also, when the wheel turns about 60 - 90 degrees, both wheels touch the metal frame. That blocks the wheels moving
In the absense of a forum, I'm posting this here and invite others to share their experience.
So the car doesn't run very straight when my Son just direct it to run forward. Its kind of a kill for any kind of simple dead reckoning course (which is a perfect way to start).
Yes, I've run the calibration and got the wheels to point straight. But even "pointing straight" it veers off to the right substantially. It seems the issue might be the motors, they do not have encoders so nothing keeps them matched in their speeds. Any experiences?
