Custom ticks get overwritten when using axis: {min:, max:} setting.

Flot: version 0.7
Browser: google Chrome/all

I have a chart that utilizes the select plugin in a overview chart.
The main chart has an array defined for custom labels over the xaxis.
something like xaxis:{ticks:[[0,"2001 School Year"],[1,"2002 School 
Year"],[2,"2002 School Year"],[3,"2003 School Year"],[4,"2004 School 
Year"],[5,"2005 School Year"]]}
Whenever i apply the zoom meaning xaxis:{min:,max:}. I looses the custom labels 
and it goes to the numeric point for the label.

Please help.

I don't immediately see any problems in Flot itself.  Could you please provide 
an example of the code you're using to zoom?
