Please tell us about yourself (include an email address):
My name is Nurul Izwan and my email is baliomega@gmail.com. I’m a UI/UX designer based in Malaysia and have developed Chrome extensions, including one focused on self-improvement called MindShuffler. I’m now interested in creating an extension for Hadith content, supporting users’ daily reflection and education.
Your purpose in using this API:
I intend to use the API for a Chrome extension to display random Hadiths for educational and reflective purposes. This extension will focus on providing a reliable source of Islamic wisdom in a format similar to MindShuffler, enabling users to engage with Hadiths in their daily lives.
API rate limits:
Maximum requests per second: 1-2 requests/second
Maximum requests per day: Approximately 500-1000 requests per day (to accommodate active users)
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Programmatic API access is preferred for flexibility as it allows real-time random selection and display of Hadiths.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
Malay (Bahasa Melayu) and English would be ideal to cater to a broader user base in Malaysia.
What programming language will your API client be in?
JavaScript, as the extension will be implemented using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
