Yes, this is an incompliant behaviour according to the [Sound Menu Specification ](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoundMenu#compliance Sound Menu Specification). But currently it's impossible to override default window behaviour of exaile with a plugin. Maybe I will ask upstream for some help.
When I close exaile (with natty), the program isn't minimize in the sound menu indicator. In order to hide exaile, I use the options "Show tray icon" and "Minimize to tray" (appearance options). It is ok with unity because Natty doesn't show the systray. But with unity-2d or gnome classic, the exaile icon in the systray is visible.
