The landing page design can be similar to this
We can replace the red circled area with the search bar, and the blue circled area with the search(confirm) button.
So the idea is that when the users first come to our application, they would first see this page, then they would have to type some kind of username they want to search up for, after they clicked search or press enter, they would be directed to the overview page.
