Pixel measure script providing incorrect measurement #1

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. using the rectangular marquee tool to make a measurement
2. hitting command+u (my personalized shortcut)
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Incorrect measurement: line layer and type layer

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Adobe Creative Suite 6, specifically Photoshop 6. Mac OSX

Please provide any additional information below.

When I use the rectangle selection tool to measure items in Photoshop, this
script doesn't work for me. Initially, I was having problems even getting the
line to show up. Then, after trying multiple times, the line now shows up, but
provides the incorrect measurement. The line extends a good length past the
selection, and the type layer coincides with the incorrect measurement. This
script works fine for my co-worker, and he uses the same software/computer
model as I do

Hi there, I had the same problem.

Suggestion:
Check the resolution of your file. Seems like pixel measure only works with
72dpi/ppi.
