Is it possible to use the Bark model offline on a mobile device? #348

I want to build a mobile app that provides a TTS service. I don't want to deploy the model on a server to get the TTS results. Instead, I need to deploy the TTS model on the mobile device and get the results directly from the mobile device, not from a server.

Bark is awesome! I would like to use Bark in my app to provide a TTS service. I searched for a solution to deploy the Bark model on a mobile device, but I couldn't find any useful resources.

Is it possible to use the Bark model offline on a mobile device?

I think your usecase is not yet possible. You’d need a very strong pc/server/gpu to generate a sentence quickly. Have you tried it on your pc? Chances are if you are generating one sentence it takes 2 to 10 minutes.

@ReinierKoops Thanks for your reply. I changed my mind, I think its not a reality to deploy the AI service on mobile for now, so I changed my mind to deploy the AI service on cloud and consume the service via http call
